Projects & experience
A sample of what we've built over the years — for NZ organisations of all sizes. Same care either way.
SPOC — Procure-to-Pay Cloud Solution
Client: The Warehouse Group
2009 – 2022
We built SPOC from the ground up — a procure-to-pay platform for managing 6,000 suppliers, consolidating them to 2,000 and cutting procurement cycle times. It ran across 250+ sites, with automated workflows, reporting, contract management, text marketing, jewellery repairs, and real-time tracking.
SPOC delivered $7 million in cost savings across The Warehouse Group and earned Sell2Cell the Non-Trade Supplier of the Year Award in 2011.
“Sell2Cell played a pivotal role in designing and delivering this system... Their technical expertise, collaborative approach, and practical innovation left a lasting impact on TWG's P2P journey.” — Saeyorn Sivanesan, The Warehouse Group
IndusApp — Recruitment Platform & Embedded AI
Client: Indus Recruitment
Formerly IRDS · now IndusApp with operational AI
2002 – Present
For more than twenty years we've built and evolved Indus Recruitment's day-to-day platform — from the original IRDS migration off Microsoft Access through to today's IndusApp. It supports temps and candidates, placements, timesheets, documents, client portals, SMS and WhatsApp, a message board, and employer reporting — the systems consultants and clients already live in.
That long foundation still matters: the early cloud move supported over 24,000 employees and 26,000 active users, with automation that saved around 10% of weekly effort and avoided an extra full-time hire. More recently we've put practical AI into those same workflows — not a separate chatbot, but search, insights, summaries, and document processing that consultants and employer clients use where the work already happens.
This is custom AI for Indus, sitting on trusted operational data. It's also a clear example of how we help other NZ organisations: build on what you already run, keep people on the decisions that matter, and skip the hype.
AI in IndusApp today
-
Smart Search
Natural-language candidate search over employee knowledge — helps consultants find suitable temps faster than keyword search alone.
-
Indus Insights on employer reports
Short AI write-ups on absenteeism and temp usage/billing reports — turns dense timesheet and absence data into clear titles and detail for client-facing reporting.
-
Employee profile AI summaries
Employer-facing marketing summaries for candidates, plus quick AI previews on employee admin screens so consultants get context while browsing skills, docs, and onboarding — without leaving the workflow.
-
CV & inbox document processing
Automated CV text extraction from incoming applications — less manual re-keying, faster intake into the recruitment pipeline.
-
Shared AI foundation on AWS Bedrock
One production-minded Bedrock setup shared across features — sensible config, caching, and error handling, with human workflows still in control.
Platform work continues alongside the AI (portals, messaging, reporting UX) so the tools sit on data people already trust. The point isn't AI for its own sake — it's clearing the admin from search to reporting while consultants stay in charge.
“I can't speak highly enough about Sell2Cell, and often wonder where our business would be without working in collaboration with them.” — Alen Levis, Owner & Director, Indus Recruitment
